Since then I have…(eg. Seen the birth of my grandkids, graduated from uni, bought a house, got a job, etc) For many refugees, Australia has not been the land of such opportunity. This year will begin to mark 10 years that people, who fled to Australia for safety, have been in detention or on temporary visas. People remain offshore in Nauru or PNG, or in detention centres in Australia, or on temporary visas meaning they can’t get permanent work, obtain loans, or reunite with their families. Isn’t it time to stop the cruelty?” #ADecadeGone
